Columbus Day will occur on October 12th, during our upcoming Fall Break. While it is true that Columbus did not really discover America, Columbus' voyages of discovery are still one of the most important events in world history. After Columbus, nothing would be the same for either the Old World (Europe, Asia and Africa) or the New World (North and South America.)
